Chicago ARTillery is a collective and network rooted in community involvement, education, the democratic process and engagement with art. CA projects are about transformation and options, very much like activists' efforts to transform communities.

 

 

Paseo Prairie Garden Live Art Event | June 14, 2009

Chicago ARTillery organized three Live Art Events leading up to the 2009 Milwaukee Avenue Arts Festival in Summer 2009. Artists were invited to participate along with families in the community to create original paintings. The canvases were and supplies were donated and funded by local organizations. The completed work was auctioned off at the Milwaukee Avenue Arts Festival 5-hour Gallery and the Silent Art Auction II and Neighborhood Urban Agriculture Fair to benefit the Paseo Prairie Garden, Unity Park and the Logan Square Farmers Market.
